They have a "hotline" which is always unattended no matter what time you try to call no one will ever pick up.

As a consulate, it doesn't even has its own official website. Without the documents list given by the authority, the visa requirements could only be reached from others' experiences shared on blogs, which cannot be updated in time and therefore has caused many failures and inconveniences in application. The staffs there are unfriendly and unhelpful, and their speakers don't always work, which has made it harder to communicate efficiently. Sure that some people (like people holding HK passports) don't have to visit this place for travel visa, but for those who do, it's almost impossible to get the visa smoothly, 'cuz the service there is just too poor to put up with. If you still want a travel visa, go find a travel agency and let em do the job. NEVER visit this place on your own. It'll be a nightmare.

I do love it when hearing Phil.over hongkong, but the System over here always Poor,You need to queue Long line even you have an Appointment,it takes hours or one day consumable before you finished, especially oec issue's,Phil, staff being rude, especially the Person outside assisting the OEC.Hope System will change,3 star because i am a filipino as well and they deserve changes to make every transaction easy and comfortable for everyone.

Transaction was smooth and easy. Finished my passport renewal in less than 45 minutes. But it takes 3 months to claim the new passport.

I would have given a negative rating if possible. The Consulate could not locate the new passport and did not want to find it on the same day, forcing one to go back on another day. Not every Filipino (at least by citizenship, if not by descent) can waste as much time as others. However, it is probably even more useless to blow one's top at the Consulate as we don't live by the same values, think in the same manner and don't speak the same language.
