My friend lost a lot of money in the UAE. He won the court case and the local got pardoned. He asked the Embassy in Hong Kong to help him with Presidential pardon but they were not very helpful. Many years have passed and he still has not been paid. Now the Abu Dhabi Dewan's Office has moved and no one knows how to find them. All Presidential pardon cases are sent to Dewan's Office in Abu Dhabi. There is no info about them via Google search. He is still hoping this Embassy can help him collect what the Dubai courts awarded him with.

Meeting with General Consular Ahmed Al Khaja. On August 28th, I got the honor meeting with General Consular Ahmed Al Khaja. I had to set up an appointment to meet him and it was not too easy but I must say that the General Consular is one of the nicest General Consulars that I have met. He is very polite and listening when it came to meeting with him. I met him to file an inquiry about my case in Abu Dhabi and Dubai regarding a local that was pardoned from jail by the UAE President with a promise to pay his debt along with all the other locals that were pardoned from jail. The General consular requested that I submit all my court documents to him and papers that I had along with a short description of what my main inquiry or complaint was about. Following the forms being submitted he personally sent an inquiry via Ministry of Foreign Affairs to look into my case. I give the General Consular a 5 star rating for this part. From there the waiting period started and when the waiting period started I knew from there that it basically had come down to them not wanting to pay in the UAE and him not knowing exactly what to tell me. After a while I was notified by them that "The Ministry sees that the right official channel is to go to the US General Consulate". The US General Consulate did not pardon the locals in the UAE and promise to pay their debts. This is a problem of their own laws and citizens in their own country. This also is an issue that involves their local government because the payments that come from this pardon come from "The Local Debitors Account from the Ministry of Justice in Abu Dhabi". Not quite sure how to rate this because the issue was not resolved and they have not paid as promised by the President and according to their local Constitution in the UAE. The Embassy and Consular accepted the inquiry and complaint, looked into the matter but then it pretty much ended there without being resolved. The UAE is a great place to visit and has a few nice people there. The side that people need to know is that if you have any legal issues there with any locals you will find yourself in a never ending maze. For over 10 years I have tried to collect from a local person that owed me money of which was pardoned a few times by the President every time an arrest warrant was reissued for the local. Now the local crook is free and the Diwan's Office has not paid as promised. I am out on lawyer fees, travel expenses to and from Dubai to try and resolve this along with a long list of other expenses. More can be seen about my case by doing a Google search for Dubai Check Fraud and a search on Facebook for Dubai Check Fraud. I am hoping and praying that General Consular can help me resolve this case so I can give them 5 stars on this review and so that God rewards them for their good deeds. Until then God knows and sees that someone did not receive justice or fairness when the victim involved requested help from those capable of helping. I truly believe that the General Consular has the power and authority to help with a case like this. It comes down to whether or not one wishes to do so from their own heart. General Consular Ahmed Al Khaja, if you see this post, I beg for your help and assistance in helping me get back what I am owed and what was promised by the local courts, local constitution before the last President passed away and what was promised by the current President when he pardoned those in Jail and promised to pay their debts. I want this on record that I personally asked and begged for your help and assistance in this matter to be resolved.
