::This is simply a joke, and a disgrace to Japan! Worst worst visa application process ever. Hope the consulate can heed people's comments here and make some improvements.

::Worst, worst visa application experience, ever. Ridiculous document requirement, extremely primitive lining-up arrangement, rude staff. Trust me it's not an individual experience, I do business travel to Japan quite a few times and I've been coming here for over 10 times in the past 8 months, most of times are unpleasant and nasty. I've seen so many other applicants couldn't stand the bad experience and lost their patience and temper. We know Japan is famous for its perfect customer experience, and I hope the Japan government can take a closer look at what's happening in Hong Kong.

::Worst ever visa application process I've been through. Trust me, I have 100+ stamps in my passport and have been to some difficult countries, this is the worst. Oh, not forget to mention I've been to Japan several times already. -the queue is unbelievably long, and it's almost impossible to do it without help from the travel agency (well they do give flyers with a list of agencies at the entrance handed out by the security guards, how "thoughtful") -documentation requirement is ridiculous. "schedule of stay" has to be listed day-by-day, even when your itinerary is the same every day. have to list the contact person, place of stay day by day too. and if it's for business, have your company stamp on it. -not possible to apply multiple entries even it's in their policy; because, they need you to list all trips again, day by day. -do not accept recycled paper, well I printed the schedule of stay on a bad print (really nothing on the back) and they rejected it. -way to save the trees!! When I read the reviews I know everyone had been through the same pain here in Hong Kong. Hope the Japan government can read this and do something about it.
