Very pissed off. AYUMI - Remeber this name. Before I proceed, I want to let you know that I speak and understand Cantonese. During this trip, I spoke English as I was on the phone with my brother and didn’t feel the need to constantly switch. I grew up in England, but only speak Cantonese at home. I also went to Chinese Sunday school for 7 years. I understand Cantonese. At 15:45 I entered their store, looking for a gift for my brother. I found a $1199 wallet which seemed similar to what I originally had in mind. I asked AYUMI for some help on identifying the prices of other items, before ultimately deciding to just go for this wallet. I am at checkout, and AYUMI decides it would be appropriate to start commenting about me. She began grinning to herself, then in CANTONESE spoke to her colleagues saying ‘Wow I thought he had more money. He’s been walking around just to get a wallet? Thought he was spending thousands..pshh is that all he has?’ I don’t know what makes her think it’s appropriate to do this in front of a customer. I was still shocked about the situation, took my wallet I had just paid for, and moved away to think about my next action. I asked for AYUMI’s name, and swiftly left. About 2 minutes later, I came back, as I felt unsatisfied that this could happen again to someone else. As I was walking down the stairs (It’s in the basement), I found a staff member and asked to see a manager. The manager asked me what the problem was, so I gave him the chance to ask AYUMI first (She’s standing a meter behind him), in which he said he wants it from me first. I explained the situation, and that I understood completely what she was saying. I said that It doesn’t matter how much I buy, and that for her to question how much money I have and mocking me for buying a product YOUR store is selling, is absolutely unprofessional and rude. I said most of this in English, but made sure to say some Cantonese to really hit her. I made sure to get a refund as I am not doing business here. Am I satisfied? Not really, but what can I do? The manager asked for my name, and my email. I’m assuming he’s going to formally write an apology of sorts, not that I need it from HIM. Anyway, I’m not saying don’t shop here as I haven’t had experience with other staff. From other reviews.. well you can see for yourself.. AYUMI is her name. It’s a shame really, and I hope the other CDG store here is better. -WONG

Hard to locate, but with a great selection of CDG products. Customer service is not great, and trying on t-shirts is not allowed.

Visited as a shopper left with nothing and that’s not like me from a CDG store. Staff looked pained to answer ONE question and were just rude. Not used to this service at ANY cdg shop and the other in Hong Kong is much much more friendly but alas much smaller

In A Nutshell: -A semi-hard place to locate but alas it's actually possible to do so. -This is a popular Japanese clothing brand which roughly translates to "Like Boys" in French. -The customer service here really sucks. You feel rushed and you don't get any space since they stand right by you like you are going to steal something. -The prices are typical high-end $100+ for t shirts, etc... -Make sure you differentiate between the men/women shirts bc they are intermingled and the sizing can throw you off (i.e. medium men vs. medium women) Overall, I ended up purchasing a couple items since there are only a handful of stores world-wide. I left happy with the goods but not the service.
