::Most professional veterinary hospital I've been to. Feels like a human hospital. Friendly caring staff and professional doctors. Wish I had extended my dogs insurance though!

::Unpleasant experience of vet service. Poor communication during my dog's hospitalisation coz they have a system of relying the vet's assistant to provide updates. Also, visiting hours are short and inflexible. 0630-0700 / 1330-1400 / 2030-2100 They literally want to kick you out once the time is up. The vets here might be specialists but they had little room to take into consideration of the pet owners' observations and previous response to interventions.

::Poor Emergency Service! My family brought our dog to Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic and was seen in the emergency service by the vet, Anthony Hollis. We found his attitude unprofessional. With the nurse being the translator, the family initially talked to him about our dog's health condition in Cantonese. His attitude was dismissive and snobbish. During the consultation (while I was speaking in Cantonese), there were no proper eye contact with the patient family, he was rude and showed no patience to explain our dog's situation. Even when he asked questions about our dog, he was still looking at the computer monitor with his back facing the family. He did not bother to explain our dog's condition and the management plan. Only when I started communicating with him in English, he started showing some decent "bedside manner" towards the patient family, i.e. proper eye contact, toning down his dismissive and snobbish attitude, explaining my dog's condition, and the management plan. Is Peace Avenue Vet Clinic serving only English-speaking owners? Why is there such a stark contrast in attitude and professionalism when I switched from Cantonese to English? Afterall, any owner, whether they speak Cantonese or English or foreign language, should deserve the same standard of service and "bedside manner". Having said that, other specialist vets and nurses are professional, patient and caring in treating our dog. It was our first point of contact of the night shift emergency service was appalling.
