Great selection of wines (a thick book for wine list!) , prices are relatively reasonable for Hong Kong.

Cool vine bar with a very nice choice of reds and white wine. You can also get sparkling wine from all around the world. Food is nice as well and includes cheese and some small dishes with salami and bread. The staff is friendly and helpful and knows a lot about the choices.

LQV Le Quinze Vins is a French wine bar with two branches in Hong Kong. We have enjoyed visits to both, including a stop at this LQV on Gage Street between Aberdeen St. and Peel St. in Central District a couple weeks ago. Opening hours are 3pm to midnight daily. There is a long list of wine bottles you can try at LQV or you can order by the glass (see wall menu). During a recent visit, we very much enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay and Bordeaux, both were very good. This is similar to what we experienced at their other wine bar in Wan Chai as well. Our visit was on a Sunday night when it was rather quite at LQV. The place can be quite busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, when large number of French and other Ex-pats frequent LQV for wine, cheese platters and charcuteries that are available. There are a lot of bars in Central and Sheung Wan. This is the place to go when fancying a glass of French wine.

Unfortunately they don't hold happy hour deals, so even when the world is doing happy hour Mondays, this place did not have it. It's probably one of those places that you'd visit on other days. That said, it has a really wide range of French wines, and an extensive menu from many regions within France. A little pricey, but if you're looking for that niche wine place, this is it.
