::We had a quick lunch at Beirut and went for the obvious choice of the set lunch. I had the eggplant dip for starters and it was excellent. The "just-burnt" taste shone through and it was a perfect balance of acidity and umami-ness. Main course was a little disappointing (I had the falafel). The pita bread didn't taste like it was "freshly-baked". Service was top-notch, but then maybe that's because it wasn't a busy day.
