  Very disappointed to my first experience in this branch! Aveda earns its high reputation by providing excellent products, talented stylists and warmest hospitality. After I've tried the experience in Aveda last year, I only go to Aveda salons for a hair cut and hair colour make up. I only use Aveda hair products as well. However, today, despite the warm welcome from the concerige, the whole hair cutting, hair colouring and styling services were so much below standard! Both the hair stylist and hair colour master were so busy that they could only attend you after you sat down aside for maybe ten minutes without a cup of tea or a simple greeting, but standing with a long face involuntarily at the back of you and asking you very brief questions by squeezing their time out from somewhere they would suddenly disappear during your conversation. I didn't know what kind of answers they wanted as they showed dissatisfaction on their faces and body languages. They were so impatient that my answers didn't meet their expectation to their limited brief questions. Apparently, they couldn't hear me clearly when my voice could not overcome the noisance from all the hair dryers around. They would not try to ask for your pardon or lean towards you and try to listen to you. They gave you an irritated facial expression again and again during the very precious brief conversation, especially the hair stylist. I tried to illustrate the style I want by showing him a video of a hair cut. He said he got it after he watched it for a few seconds a few times by sacrificing the time he squeezed for me. After ages of time, he cut my bangs. I was asked if I was satisfied with the banks or not. The bangs were a bit different from what I was expecting. I believed it was because he styled my bangs by blowing dry it with a thick cylinder comb before he cut my bangs. This move has altered the direction of my hair. So I tried to comb it with my hand for a couple of seconds. Suddenly, he told me rudely that, 'Continue on fixing your bangs. I'll cut the hair at the back first.' More interestingly, he suddenly stopped cutting my hair after a couple of touch. He said, 'If you didn't like your bangs, I'll spray some water on it.' He then sprayed a generous amount of water on my forehead, not allowing and prepared to give me a piece of tissue to wipe off the water that melted the make up and mascara on my face. It seemed that I annoyed him when I asked for a piece of tissue! I was not allowed a minute or two to think the way of expressing my view! I gave up on my bangs after a few unhelpful trials. After the issue on the banks, I was asked how would I like to cut the rest of my hair. I showed him the same video and I was interrupted as he said, 'The bangs were fixed now. Stop showing me this video.' He did not hear or try to listen to me that I would like the exact the same hairstyle with the girl in the video, but not only the bangs! What a terrible conversation exchanges! I expected to have a light wavy hair with airy bangs that could boost up my confidence by helping me look younger and sculpture the imperfect me. Unfortunately, the hair stylist told me I won't look good. He had foreseen such a dissatisfaction on the hair style, but he did not try to give any solutions or suggestion on it at all! I was completely annoyed when he said, 'Let me finish the cutting first. Fix yourself later by yourself!' What a senior hair stylist! How professional! If I could do his job, I did not need to pay for a salon! My hair has turned out to be a 70-80s married woman who has a hair cut in a $58-salon without any edgy touch and soul! I don't feel confident at all. I feel old! It is so much beyond my expectation! The bill was not clearly illustrated as well! I didn't need a mercy on charging my hair length from L to S, but I need a make up for this dissaster! I booked for the hair cut and hair colouring service two weeks ago. However, they had given me a feeling that I suddenly popped out and alternating their leaving time from work! A very terrible experience!

  I stop by Hong Kong on my way to the States just for the haircut, because - let's be honest - white folks, bless their efforts, don't know how to handle Asian hair, nor do they have the skills (gained through dedicated practice) and the patience (out of the love of a personality defining haircut) required to spend a whole afternoon refining the lines of the hair sculpture on your head. 5 levels of hair stylist ranging from $500 to $1000+ available.

  Reasonably priced salon and need not to mention their famous organic hair product. But their hair stylists' skill are very unstable
